Summer Ends

My 5 month break from school is ending this week. I start my last semester of school on Monday. I am not excited to go back. I cry almost every night to Jordan, begging him to let me drop out. Thank goodness I only have one semester left.

Taking 18 credit hours with a husband, baby, house, a new company, and a 40 minute commute everyday is less than ideal, but I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I know I will be so grateful in December when I am holding that dang degree (let's all hope and pray I make it to December).

Just thought I would recap our summer....

We spent most of the summer decorating/painting/organizing our new house and growing Jordan's business. The business and house tied up most of our money, so we didn't go on any extravagant vacations this year. Just a few trips to Utah to visit family. Hopefully next year we will be able to go somewhere fun and exciting.

Hadley finally started walking! She has always been a tad behind when it comes to gross motor skills. She crawled at 11 months and walked at 16 months. But now she is our little cruiser and gets into everything!

It was a  low key, but great summer for our little family.

PS: We are in the market for a piano and living room sofa. If anyone knows of a GREAT DEAL, let me know. ;)

  1. You're awesome. You'll look back on these times with such fond memories. It's a tricky time of life, but it'll only get better! I admire you so much for sticking it out with school! You'll be so grateful you did, especially with being so close! Miss ya!

  2. Oh, Rachel! I could have written that post when I was in school and Beth was a baby. It was so, so hard! Stick with it. I promise you will be happy you did. When I graduated, I was pregnant with Mary Anne. You are getting your degree the hard way, but it will be worth it. Love you lots!
